People in Asia have known about Ganoderma lucidum derived from Reishi mushroom for thousands of years, but it took Bernardo Chua to get U.S. consumers to try coffee and tea infused with Ganoderma lucidum.
According to Zoominfo, Bernado Chua is the founder of Organo Gold, a company based in Richmond, BC, Canada that sells beverages and nutritional supplements that is continually expanding into new territories.
Hailing from the Philippines, Chua became an expert at multi level marketing while working as the head of Gano Excel USA. He realized that Gano Excel wasn’t going to appeal to U.S. consumers, so Bernardo Chua decided that he would start his own company.
To appeal to western consumers, Chua sourced delicious Jamacian Blue Mountain Organic Coffee for Organo Gold’s signature single-serving coffees and offered independent distributors a complete training program and a lucrative compensation plan so they could explain the purported health benefits of Organo Gold’s products to their customers.
Besides a variety of coffees and teas, Organo Gold sells nutraceuticals and personal care products infused with Ganoderma lucidum.
In early 2016, CEO Bernardo Chua announced that Organo Gold expanded their operations, adding Turkey to the list of places where consumers can incorporate the company’s premium products into their healthy lifestyles. Turkey is the 39th country where Organo Gold now operates.
In 2015, Organo Gold received the “Number One Global Network Marketing Company” People’s Choice Award from the National Consumer Affairs Foundation in the Philippines. The Street published an article that Bernardo Chua was awarded the “Outstanding Global Entrepreneur” Dangal ng Bayan Award at the same ceremony.
